TOYOTA BIG AIR 12th

2008.2.10 (Sun) "TOYOTA BIG AIR", which is celebrating its 12th anniversary this year, has become an event that can be said to be a winter tradition in Sapporo.
This time, the jumping platform was significantly renewed, and the Makomanai Sekisui Heim Stadium, which was overcrowded with 2 people, became a venue full of enthusiasm.

The qualifying was held with a total of 4 people including invited riders, including Masatake Yamamoto, Shuji Ito, Takumi Suzuki, and Choco Vanilla Ball Arai, who passed the Japanese qualifying.
Akifumi Hiraoka, a regular at the tournament, sealed the double flip and was unfortunately defeated in the CAB900 in 9th place in qualifying. The only Japanese to advance to the tournament is Masatake Yamamoto, who finished 900rd in the qualifying with a high CAB3.Last year's champion, CAB1, was Kevin Pearce in first place in qualifying.

The final is a tournament-style gachinko battle with eight players.
In such a battle, Masatake Yamamoto has a great fight!Win the semi-final.
The toe cab 900 with a unique style that launches high at the moment of pulling out.In this tournament, we will focus on one technique and improve the degree of perfection.Unfortunately, I lost to Liszt Mattilla's SB1, but it was an impressive battle.
And last year's champion Kevin Pearce (passed 1st place in qualifying), he raised the level of skill from CAB900 to FS1080 and FS1260 in the tournament, but he could not make it completely and lost to Antti Autti's FS1080 in the semifinal.

The winner, Antti Autti, was awarded a prize of 250 million yen and a Toyota Vanguard.

This tournament was astonished by the level of Japanese players who stylishly make difficult tricks without losing the power of overseas players each time.
I definitely want to expect the top of the podium next year.
Also, I'm looking forward to the appearance of a hot player like Masatake Yamamoto who will win from the Japanese qualifying and go to the podium.
