Ski resort with a spectacular view / Lake Biwa Valley

Nice to meet you, everyone!
This is Haruna Kito, who participated in the slopes for the first time.I wrote a blog about the ski resort I visited this time!thank you!

The third slope of this season is Shiga prefecture, which is also my hometown!
We would like to introduce "Biwako Valley"!

Lake Biwa has the largest area in Japan.Lake Biwa has always been the center of life for Shiga residents, and I grew up watching Lake Biwa.

eh!Is there a ski resort in Shiga prefecture? Is often asked, but in reality it is.Among them, the largest ski resort is Lake Biwa Valley. It is also the place where I was taken to ski many times when I was a kid and started snowboarding.

Such a miley "Biwako Valley" I went with Shinji Sato in February of last season!

First, take the ropeway to the summit at an altitude of 1100m! This ropeway, which is said to be "the fastest in Japan", arrives at the summit in just 4 minutes.

Panorama view from 360 degree glass windows.
It is a superb view from Lake Biwa to Kyoto city to Osaka!
By the way, I also saw wild deer.
I'm already excited just by the ropeway.
It is recommended to ride backwards on the uphill and forward on the downhill!

It's been a long time, so check the course map!

First, go to the main "Horai Panorama Slope".
The lake is shining in the sun.
It's big and looks like the sea!

You can enjoy comfortable carving while watching the magnificent view of this wide and open course! The park was also substantial.

Next, the "Alpine Course" in the center of the slope

The big bank terrain on the Goofy side that came out first after dropping from the Horai slope was very pleasant! The wall is continuous with a gentle slope, so you can mellow cruising while playing to the right and left.

The last is the "Giant Course" on the northernmost side of the slope.

Start with a big curve, hit a steep slope on the middle, and finally hit the forest course! It is a versatile course where you can enjoy changing the slope and Goofy Bank.It was getting cloudy and the burn was getting harder, so I was cruising while controlling the speed.
Last season suffered from light snow nationwide. The Biwako Valley was also short of snow, and the most popular "Champion No. XNUMX Lift" was closed, but it seems that a long run of the forest course is usually possible and there is also a half pipe!

I was looking forward to coming again.

A great day with rare local members, valuable sessions, and good weather. The feeling of excitement in the snow hasn't changed at all from when I was a kid.

Thanks to the slopes for giving me a nice opportunity.

“Biwako Valley” filled with various charms It is worth visiting even from afar. Please go for a slip.
