DC Global Snowboarding Marketing Director
Bobby Meeks

Q: How did you decide where to go for your trip?
A: I try to visit countries where I think there are hot scenes in snowboarding. In Europe, Switzerland and France have great snowboarding culture, and in North America, Canada has a magnificent backcountry.Japan has one of the best powders in the world, and Mammoth Mountain is the United States. But this season I decided to go on a trip to a place I didn't visit last season. If you include the Southern Hemisphere, you can chase after winter all the time.

Q: How did you feel when shooting in Japan?
A: Based in Otaru, I was looking for a spot I wanted to shoot while traveling by car for about two weeks. After that, go to Niseko.Last season there was a lot of snow in Niseko and I slipped a lot of powder, but it was too rainy to take a picture. So when it comes to shooting, I feel like I was able to shoot better this season.

Q: It must have been a trip to a place you haven't visited, but why is Hokkaido for the second year in a row?
A: I experienced precious powder in Niseko last season and it has become the top rank of the place where team riders want to go.However, this season I wanted to increase the number of shots, not just the powder. Also, I went north from Tokyo and went to Hokkaido by boat, but I wanted to incorporate aspects of the trip so that I could feel Japan more.I think Niseko is a place where you can enjoy a crazy different space. (Tamai) There are also wonderful snowboarders like Taro.

Q: What are your plans for future trips?
A: The country to visit has been decided, but the details have not been decided yet.But I don't think it will change the basic concept. It's like Mexican food. The basic ingredients are the same no matter where you eat. However, there are differences in the contents, and there are various seasonings. The same goes for snowboarding.Just convey fun snowboarding while traveling. As long as we get a good response, we will continue our journey.Especially, I'm looking forward to South America.I hope it's a season with good snow.

Torstein Horgmo(Torstein horgmo
"I think Japan always has a wonderful snowboarding culture. It's a calm atmosphere and you hike slowly in nature. There is no tension due to the steep slopes, just relax and slip. I can concentrate. It was the same this time. I think it's very attractive as a place to visit and warm up at the beginning of the season. Especially in Niseko, I enjoyed skiing. It was so much fun to play in the cat. I skipped the Russian trip in February. After that, I will join the team and go to Level Stoke in Canada, and then in April to South America. I'm looking forward to it because it's my first time here. "

"It depends a little on the weather, but I was blessed with the best snow in Hokkaido and I had a really good time skiing at some spots. Especially, the cat tour at THE HOUSE OF POWDER was a very good memory. . It's a nice environment over there. I'm gonna glide through the powder, go to a nice hot spring and eat good food. No more to say. I'm going to Russia, Canada, and South America. I'm going to all the trips. By the way, I've uploaded the story of DC's Instagram, so check it out. "

Jordon Morse(Jordan Morse
"I only had three days in Japan. Originally it was supposed to be a week, but I was late by plane ... But my first time in Japan was wonderful. I think it would be more fun if I could build a little more streets. Maybe? But I enjoyed the powder and the atmosphere was good. I'm planning to go to Russia in the future, and it's undecided whether South America will participate. This time I enjoyed the vacation in Japan and then Russia. It feels like a street, but hopefully the order is reversed. After street in Russia, I wanted to enjoy powder slowly in Japan (laughs). "

"The first time in Japan was great. Powder, culture, food ... I can only say it's wonderful. Originally I'm mainly on the street, so it was refreshing to land powder like this time. Jacket Wearing, wearing goggles, carrying backcountry gear, stuffing all the luggage ... It was a good experience for me to skate powder in such an environment. Ikka also helped me. Also, it was my first time riding a cat and it was a crazy experience. The visibility was bad but it was really great. I want to come back to Japan again. I want to try the street next time. I checked a lot of spots while driving. I'm going to Russia for the first time next time, but I'm looking forward to it because it will be the street section of the urban area that I usually do. I also want to go to South America. I want you to have a dream. I watched a lot of movies when I was young, but I want to tell the next generation that I also have snowboarding as a job while traveling like this. Also, it's interesting to get the latest ones out in a timely manner, and it's a good experience for me. "

"I really enjoyed my trip to Japan. Actually, he was a snowboarder and he came to Hokkaido for shooting, so I came about 3 weeks before the DC team. With a lot of Japanese locals. I think I got to know each other, felt snowboarding in Hokkaido, and had a fulfilling experience. I want to come again. Especially, the cat of THE HOUSE OF POWDER was the best. It's an option (it can be cated many times). I haven't decided to participate in future trips. I'm from New Zealand, but now I live in San Diego, USA, and if I can't go on a trip with the DC team But I want to shoot myself and express it through magazines and videos. "
