"TRANSITORS" is a movie project in which the DC Snow Team delivers images taken while traveling around the world in real time. This winter, I also visited Japan and showed off the finest powder and natural jumps in the snowy mountains of Hokkaido, and the scene at this time was already visualized with SBN FREERUN (article isplease use this form.) Introduced and gathered a big topic.
Torstein Horgmo had a strong presence as a central figure in the DC global team.He has won numerous titles in the contest scene and is currently active mainly in video production.I pointed a microphone at him about Japan and DC snow gear.

Q. Welcome to Torstein, Japan!Tell me a simple profile?
A. I'm from Trondheim, a Norwegian port city, and now I live in the capital, Oslo.Summers are relatively cool, winters are cold, it snows from November to March, and the sea freezes partly.I've heard before that the climates of Oslo and Hokkaido are similar. Now I quit my activity in the contest scene and with my friendsSHRED BOTSI'm focusing on making movies at.

Q. When has Torstein been active in the DC team?
A. From 10, about 2007 seasons ago. I remember being happy to be recognized by the DC Snow Team.

Q. You've been using DC for many years. Can you tell Torstein, who knows all about DC, about this season's snow gear?First of all, about boots?
A. I often wear SHUKSAN.It is molded a little hard and has BOA, so it has good support, so it can be used in the backcountry and will last a long time without being worn out. It's also attractive that it is made very lightweight. There are two colors, red x black and black, and I prefer to wear red x black.By the way, the size of the foot is US2 (10cm).

Q. What are you using for the board?
A. SPACE ECHO.The camber is a 6mm low camber specification and the material is hard. Therefore, it is a board that can easily ride speed with powder, can handle big air, and can withstand various landings.Since the shape is a directional twin, smooth lines can be carved even when switching.Flex has a soft feel and is soft. This board uses traditional camber, the arch part of the camber is short, and there is a kick, so the ride is the best even in the park. And the graphics are done by the genius Paul Jackson, an artist from the UK who lives in Toronto, Canada. It's a very unique graphic and I don't think it's Cool.

Q. Can you tell me about clothing?
A. The jacket is COMPANY JKT. The point is that it is waterproof and lightweight at 45K with SympaTex specifications. It's a high performance and comfortable model in the backcountry. This jacket is safe even when you ride a mobile to the hinterland and snowboard for a long time in severe weather and environment. It comes in one color and has many pockets, so you don't have to worry about storing small items. It's one of my favorites.

Q. What about pants?
A. I'm wearing NOMAD BIB pants. I like SympaTex and stretch with a good combo. Since it's BIB, you don't have to worry about snow intrusion even when powdering or snowing.

Q. Please tell us about the DC Snow Team.
A. By changing the activity from the contest scene to the movie, the team action has increased more than before.Bobby has become a team manager, thinking about the rider and what DC should be, and the team as a whole supports each other, making it a very good team.Ikka (Backstrom) and other riders are great, as well as lady sliders and young riders.Since there are riders all over the world, exchanging information in each country is smooth.I can come to Japan like this, enjoy riding at a wonderful point, and have a comfortable time without any problems. The DC Snow Team is a great team with a lot of personality and worldwide.

Q. Please tell us about your future activities.
A. In recent years, all the contests have the same course layout, which has become boring and I have retired from the front line of the contest. And I'm interested in a different aspect, and I especially put power in the backcountry video. In the future, I strongly want to express and disseminate "what only I can do" in many projects.

Q. It seems that you are particular about shooting drones.
A. Unlike before, now I have more time to spare and I can spend more time shooting.Do you stick to drone shooting in that? For example, if you take aerial shots of up and down feathers with a drone, you can see things that you couldn't see before. It also flies the drone at various angles and shoots repeatedly. Now, I'm addicted to thinking about how to shoot and edit.

Q. Finally, do you have a message for Japanese snowboarders?
A. Remember what kind of snowboarding inspired you to like it.The origin is a very important part that you have, so don't be fooled by SNS or superficial information.I want you to do all the snowboarding that you want to do and that you find fun.
