Interview with Go Ueda

Always hot man, Go Ueda. However, there is no doubt that he is one of the men who can hardly see in this world now, not only being hot in the dark clouds, but also thinking about how he felt and how he should make a choice. Let's do it.

Actually, I met him a long time ago and was introduced as a skateboarding professional at that time, but when I met him again after a while, he was quite enthusiastic about snowboarding. He is serious about everything, and he was so enthusiastic about snowboarding that "translation" made me very interested in this interview.
His main business is skateboarding. But his thoughts on snowboarding and his approach to enjoying it were very pure. What I'm interested in is a man who simply absorbs like a sponge,
We are pleased to send you an interview with Go Ueda Vol1.

He loves cars. Yeah I could tell it for sure.

Mr. Ueda is also a professional skater and is widely active as a contest MC and a school instructor. Can you tell us about your current activities?

It depends on the field, but first of all, the manufacturerDistribution industryI'm doing.I deal with my friend's brand when I was in Canada and other brands, and during the daytime on weekdays, I sell as a manufacturer and distribution, call, ship, pick up luggage at Narita Airport, etc. I'm doing it at.Next, on weekends, it will be a demonstration at MCs in skateboarding contests and events organized by pro shops such as events to make skateboarding known to the general public.
I also have a skateboarding school. This is a lesson to let you experience skateboarding easily during the event so that you can understand the fun, or we do a school where lesson fees are incurred as a guest coach of the lesson of the shop.Fortunately, the schedule will be filled up from a couple of months ago, so there are places that offer nationwide expansion, but I know that they really need me, so more than XNUMX% of the last few years. Are regulars.

The rest is skateboarding practice on weekday nights.Practice simply to improve your skills.A fellow professional skater or a localSkate park called M'sI'm skating with the locals there. When practicing skating, I imagine the place where the actual demonstration will be held, and when I go for the first time, I look at photos and videos and practice according to that.I wonder if the practice is to control the physical condition and technique according to the event of the weekend.I'm not a rider who has the skills to put together in one minute, so I'd like to see it as a best trick or a 15-minute jam session contest.

He is Pro Skater, but He does practice a lot to be. Respect.

When did you start skateboarding?

I started skateboarding when I was in the first year of junior high school, but I didn't do it at all from the time I was in the third year of junior high school until I was 20 years old.I enjoyed playing more than skateboarding. However, when my senior who taught me skateboarding at the seijin-shiki asked me, "Did you quit skateboarding?", It was fun to ride the skateboard that was given to me.So when I went to that senior's place and got on it, it was fun, and at that time I could fly behind the 26-inch bicycle with an ollie, and I thought it was "fun!".So, when I flew to get a picture taken, I broke it on the spot (laughs)

At that time, the senior said, "If you heal again, ride this," and gave me a complete skateboard. That was the trigger for the start. In my time, it was like jumping with a jump ramp, but when it came back, switch tricks and technical tricks became the main thing.
When I thought, "Something has revived, but it's not fun", my friend's foreigner brought me an overseas magazine, and there was a special feature on British Colombia, and I wanted to skate in a place like I wanted to do. Park was told that if I lived in Vancouver, I could go all here in less than an hour, and in one word I left for less than half a year.

He starts snowboarding, and now learning a lot and better riding day by day.

When did you start snowboarding?

I think I started snowboarding when I was 10-24 years old when I got my driver's license. After graduating from high school, I bought a set of snowboard gear, but at that time I was working, so I was a Sunday border.I think I went less than 34 times in the first season. After that, I revived skateboarding, so I honestly wanted to snowboard, but I couldn't because I didn't have the money. But when I went skateboarding in Canada, I wondered if I went to Whistler and Blackcomb once. After that, I had to go once a year or not, and after that, from 5 to XNUMX years old, I only went about XNUMX times in total (laughs).

While having the side of being a professional skater, you are also quite enthusiastic about snowboarding. Is there any chance you got into it?

There are two reasons why snowboarding was revived four years ago.
The keywords are "FREE RUN and Shingo Kono" and "Custom produce".The first is a project planned by Shingo Kono at FREE RUN, which is a plan to go to Tohoku called Ten Days with a camper. So I went as a skater but decided to snowboard. Then suddenly I was made to hike. It's spicy and cloudy with goggles, and if you take the lift next to you, you can slip right away, but why hike?I thought.
But the run that slipped from the top was a no-track and insanely comfortable.Until then, buy a lift ticket, then where do you slip? But when I actually climbed the mountain, I was curious about words that I didn't understand at the time, such as "avalanche," "pack," "north slope," and "bottom." I asked a lot of questions.
Why do the goggles get cloudy from there? He also told me what to do when it was cloudy, and when I felt that "snowboarding should be chosen according to the weather, temperature, and snow conditions," he said, "If you think about where you can play. , You can reach the best place. "
I wasn't very interested in playing in the places that were prepared, so I thought, "Snowboarding is what makes it even more fun to get information and research by yourself, and to have the right to make decisions." Then it became even more fun.

The encounter was interesting, and I happened to be at an exhibition at the same time.MINKIf you put up a booth, they are supporting me nowCoal HeadwearBooth was next to me.Then my junior was an advertising agency for Coal, so I met him and was introduced to Mr. Nagata of Coal (custom-produced), and I became even more friends because I had a lot of common friends. In addition, everyone in Custom Produce loves skateboarding even though they are snowboarders. The second thing was that I started skateboarding together and snowboarding together.

Coal Headwear. Known as good quality and nice style.Once you try it, you will love it!

As a result, my snowboarding started to move due to my inquisitive mind and friends who taught me about those two events. Then I'm a sunglasses brand that is also active as a rider rediNobu and Hassy invited me to slip together in Hokkaido, and after slipping a little, I was suddenly taken to the street and made a log attack (laughs).

After that, I tried the round log at a great speed in a narrow tree run on a great slope, and I thought "Wow!".And now that Hi-See, who is very close to me, was shooting skates, I inevitably got involved.Masahisa Hayashi of the same age also loves skating and invites him to snowboard, or a brave project. YESNohira-san,TwelveFukuyama-kun, Nishida-kun, localPro shop ZimbabweThe owners and store managers took care of the board, and TJ's Toyota asked me, "Did you start snowboarding? Then do you skate together?" I felt that the awesomeness of snowboarding was "connecting with face" and "it's the same as skateboarding!"I think it's been the past four years that I've been absorbed in that way.
Oh, this is also important.Hideaki Hayashi and Shiki Ehara, who are skating friends, are better at snowboarding than I am, and I'm frustrated, and it's honest to think that they'll be blown away (laughs).

But it's been two years since I started slipping, because the dots and lines have been connected. The feeling changes tremendously depending on the board settings, and the understanding of gears has deepened, such as how to maximize the functionality of the wear.At the same time, I think I've also felt the joy of raising.
Share luxuryI was given a pair of boots called Empire, and Hassy gave me a leather glove. It was said that both items would be much better if grown in mink oil, and if you adhered to them, the conditions would be insanely good. That's how my life has become more regular in order to prepare and adjust the rhythm before going snowboarding (laughs).
Skateboarding didn't have the fun of spending time and preparing, so it was a little difficult at first, but now I feel like I'm enjoying it.If I prepare for XNUMX minutes before going, I think "I'll do it! I!", But I actually left the wear in a different car (laughs)
But I also feel that kind of fun.

Tadao Nagata, Go Uead and JT. Good crew for sure!

And there are places where skateboard manufacturers handle snowboards, so for example, they are getting better.FUSIONHowever, there is a snowboarding event in Okutadami, but I decided to come because I can skateboard at night events, so I participated in a snowboarding event called FUSION GARDEN for the first time.I realized that snowboarding events were really hard, and I felt that the power and unity of various people gathering there was amazing. There were good points in both, and I was able to realize the difference between the goodness of skateboarding events and the goodness of snowboarding events.

That's why I want to participate in many snowboarding events.

Looking back, I was late in my age to get into snowboarding, but that's why many people knew me, so being able to snowboard in a good environment is also the reason why I like snowboarding even more. I think there is.
