How can you master your own style? Can you incorporate uniqueness into your skating?
The best part of snowboarding is definitely how you can express your style.
Even as time passes, the snowboarder's mindset of expressing one's own style continues to be passed down, and the younger generation is also nurturing riders who are able to express this style.
The ``VANS HI-STANDARD SNOWBOARD SERIES'' was planned to create a stage for them to play an active role. Style is evaluated, not skill. All that matters is how much you were able to express yourself and how much of an impression you left.
This event is typical of VANS, which continues to spread its unique and aggressive style and mindset around the world, from skateboarding and street culture to music, art, and snowboarding and other action sports scenes.
It has been held around the world, including in its home country of USA and Europe, but it landed in Japan for the first time last season. For the memorable first event in Japan, more than 1 freestylers gathered in the bad weather of blizzard and strong winds and showed off their skills.
It has been decided that the second event in Japan will be held on the 27th (Saturday) of this month. The stage will be moved from Naeba Ski Resort to Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Resort in Niigata Prefecture, and the special park prepared for this day will be created by VANS riders Masato Toda and Aya Sato.
Free participation & total prize money of 30 yen!
The first half was a jam session, and the second half was a best trick contest with a total prize of 30 yen.The event was held once in the morning and once in the afternoon, divided into two groups. Participation is free. Entries will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis at the VANS tent at the venue, and will close once capacity is reached.
It's also a very lively event where tickets are handed out by the judges to those who skate well and can be exchanged for cash after the heat is over (each ticket can be exchanged for 1 yen!)
Whether you're confident in your style or want to earn some cash, invite your friends and go to Ishiuchi Maruyama!
