16.17 PSA ASIA Snowboard Pro Tour round 1

January 2017, 1, PSA ASIA tour begins again this year from Snowboard cross

Mitsumata Ups'n'Downs Opening Kagura Cross Challenge Commonly known as Daizo CUP.

r1-1

Held by SX legend Daizo Fukushima as a sponsor and slope builder since last year.

The weather is sunny from the morning! The temperature in the morning was as cold as -5 degrees Celsius, but the sunlight felt warm in the daytime, and it was a good day for the tournament.

Since the snow quality is soft due to the snowfall the day before, it is expected that there will be places where the course will be rough, and it seems that turbulence will occur from the first SX game !?

The course consists of a quick U tank, a banked slalom section that makes good use of the terrain, a roll section on a gentle slope, a slalom section that swings from side to side with ups and downs using the terrain, and a long overall length that makes good use of the terrain. Technical course !!!

The point of this course is to take a line that does not drop the second and third slalom sections using the pipe terrain at the beginning, and whether you can carve in a good position while going up and down. It is an important course. (Comment from Slope Builder from Daizo Fukushima)

r1-3

As for the boys, while the top players were almost all in line, until the final, as expected, the two Motoki brothers who ranked 2st and XNUMXnd last year, Yoshiki Takahara, the defending champion of last year, and Shinya Momono of Tsunekatsu were in order. I went on to win until the final.

In the men's final, while the sun was hiding and getting cold, it was Yuki Motoki who responded first to the start call, and Shinya Momono was a little late, but he returned to the first bank and was almost in line with Yuki Motoki, but on the inside side. Yuki Motoki went forward while holding down Shinya Momono from the outside.

In the middle of chasing it, Kohei Motoki, Shinya Momono, and Yoshiki Takahara are in the middle of a dead heat, and Kohei Motoki and Shinya Momono come into contact and fall.By avoiding that, Yoshiki Takahara goes up to XNUMXnd place.

Meanwhile, Yuki Motoki scored a goal while still riding at speed and won the championship.Yoshiki Takahara was runner-up, and Shinya Momono, who stood up immediately after contact, came in third.

Who will be the series champion this season!?!?!?

r1-2

What we should pay attention to is Kanae Maeda, who is second in the ranking last season, Hiromi Konno, who is also third in the ranking, and Masami Higashida, who seems to be moving well from the public practice.

In the women's final, amateur Riko Sato confronts Kanae Maeda, Masami Higashida, and Ayako Akizuki. It was Kanae Maeda and Masami Higashida who ranked second in the ranking last season that jumped out of the U tank after the start.Kanae Maeda took the first bank and went straight to the roll section.

Here, Kanae Maeda pulls away from the trailer.Masami Higashida and Ayako Akizuki chasing it.

Riko Sato, an amateur who has fallen a little behind.

Kanae Maeda escaped as it was and won the championship.

It seemed that the goal was the same as the following, but Masami Higashida and Ayako Akizuki fell in the rough slalom section near the end.

In the meantime, amateur Riko Sato overtook two people and won the runner-up.Masami Higashida was in 3rd place and Ayako Akizuki was in 4th place.

r1-4

Win Kanae Maeda

XNUMXnd place Riko Sato (amateur)

XNUMXrd place Masami Higashida

The snow quality was soft due to the snowfall the day before, and it was thought that the course would be rough, but the overall set was a gate setting that emphasized smooth flow, so the course was not so rough until the end. The tournament was in progress.Even so, there were some strict sets in some places, and there were scenes where the top players also fell.Overall, it wasn't a difficult course, but we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the players for having a fun race on a good course that makes a difference in carving skills in the face of many changes in terrain.

Thank you to Mr. Daizo Fukushima, ski resorts, and everyone involved in the school.

As for Snowboard Cross, round 1 will be held at Kagura Ski Resort tomorrow on 8/2.

We are planning a total of XNUMX SX Pro Tour races this season, and then we will hold a Grand Championship, so please support us.
