I asked Atsushi Ishikawa about [Fastech] and [Multi-entry], their advantages and how to choose.

"What binding to use".This will make a big difference in slip and style. "Which model to choose" is important, but "what kind of mounting system is used for the binding" is also an important point. There are two types of mounting systems for SP binding, [Fastech] and [Multi-entry], but what are the advantages of each?I asked Atsushi Ishikawa.

[Fastech]

There is no heel cup, and the rear entry system is installed by raising the high back and pushing the entire foot toward the tip of the toe.

[Multi-entry]

Remove the Evo buckle on the toe cup and ankle strap to loosen the strap. It can be attached and detached without tilting the high back.

Please tell us the merits of [Fastech] and [Multi-entry].

Ishikawa:Each has its own advantages. Considering "in what situations you often attach / detach bindings", it may be one of the indicators when choosing. For example, if you put your butt on the mountain side of the slope with your head on the slope, you will not be able to defeat the highback and it will be difficult to wear, but [Multi-entry] is easy to wear.On the contrary, when the head is on the mountain side and the back is facing the sky, it is difficult to wear [Multi Entry] and it is easy to wear [Fastech].There are many, but I think I like it.

What are the benefits of park and powder?

Ishikawa:I think [Fastech] is suitable for parks.Since there is no heel cup, there is a flex on the side, making it easy to put in style. It can also handle jib. [Multi-entry] is suitable for powder. When you really want to slip quickly, re-tighten the ratchet firmly to enhance the hold feeling. On the contrary, when riding the lift, the strap is loosened. That way, it's easy to wear.
