TRIP FOR REST Trip.4 CANADA / ALASKA

1 Roadtrip / 5 people / 54 days / 10,000 km / Life in the camps

# Go on a journey >>> Delusion

At the end of April last year, the end of my last trip to Canada,

"Let's go to Alaska next year."

I remember having such a conversation.

"Let's take a snowmobile and camp on a big mountain."

I also said that.

A year after that, the story has become a reality, and a pure white world is spreading in front of me.

When I remembered such a conversation in an unrealistic life, I realized that my wish had come true.

A place that you cannot come by yourself.I would like to thank my colleagues for guiding me here.

TFR4-3

Leader Yu Sasaki has lived in Canada for about seven years and works as a cook during the summer.

In winter, he skates around Whistler as a professional skier, but it seems that he went to Revelstoke this winter due to lack of snow.

It is no exaggeration to say that his innate realization and obsession with skiing and mobile skills have made this trip a success.

In the first place, the car is his property, and he has a great power to live and live in Canada.

# Left >>> Straight line like Sasaki / Right >>> Line where Fujita slipped.Where is it?

TFR4-20

This trip is a 54-day road trip at Heart Films.

March to British Columbia, Canada, and April to the north.Let's go to Alaska.something like.

A trailer of less than 1 tons is connected to one truck, and five men travel.Even if I sleep or wake up, I'll always be together, and there's nothing like this.

Valemount, Rocky Mountains, Golden, Whistler, Stewart, Yukon to Haines.

Actually, this time I also went to Nelson and Calgary. I think most of the cities in British Columbia have passed.

A photo of the 10,000km journey left on the camera and a pile of thousands of dollars of petrol receipts.

I want to look back at the photo, but I don't want to know the amount of the receipt.

#Beautiful lake. Countless beautiful scenery on a 10,000km journey.

TFR4-4

TFR4-14

Trouble accompanies a trip.I often say that it is a trip that can be called a trip = trouble.

You should get insurance.

You have to make as many predictions as you can.

Sometimes I have to change my plan.

And sometimes you need the power to give up.

Whether the mobile is broken, the car stops in the middle of the wilderness, the city is 100km away, or the base camp is blown away.

Give up before you get depressed.

It's useless just to be depressed.

Most things have to be paid for.

Base camp at #Valemount.A few days later, when I came back from shooting, the wind wiped out the tent.I don't even feel like taking a picture and decide to move.

TFR4-5

At first, it was difficult to make a base camp, but in the second half, it became possible to do it.

Alaska, who had begun his journey and was about to give up because of troubles, arrived firmly.

Image, plan, execute, succeed, and image again.

Imagination and adaptability.

Things you need for your trip.

#at Golden.I met Aurora this year.

TFR4-6

# I went on a journey >>> Reality

The purpose of the trip is to snowboard in the first place I have never been to.

KEIJI TAJIMA of Heart Films has captured the event in the camera.

KEIJI TAJIMA also lives here in Canada, and this year marks the 10th anniversary of Heart Films.

Yu Sasaki and KEIJI TAJIMA are quite skillful because they live in Canada, and their survival ability and how well they blend in with the local community are amazing.

We Japanese called them Canadians.

Apparently, our Japanese common sense doesn't apply here.

#KEIJI TAJIMA taking a picture and Sasaki sliding on the glacier.

TFR4-16

Did you have everything you needed?

Snowboards, mobiles, tents, and luggage that you can't count on.

However, mysteriously, I also remember who the arrangement belongs to.

Base camp at #Golden.A fireplace is attached to the trailer for the living room. You can sleep in your own tent.It was warm and easy to spend this year, but there was little snow.

TFR4-7

Base camp is a process of trial and error.Make it a style that suits your location.

The first tent was blown away by the wind, but Golden's style was good.

After all the interior is the final destination Haines. Succeeded in smartening from 2 months of experience.

Then, with such a base, head to the mountain by snowmobile from there.

It's not bad to wake up with the voice of a bird while feeling the sun in the tent in the morning.

#Haines base camp.A big mountain behind. It feels good on a sunny day.By this time, the living room has been reduced in waste and made simple.A snowboard course in the backyard. You can also skate downhill on the road in front of you.And the day is long and it is a little bright at 11 o'clock.

TFR4-9

The most difficult situation to go to a snowy mountain is to go to the first place.

It's hard to walk into a mountain you don't know, but the same is true for snowmobiles.

This trip starts from the place where you investigate the mountains.

You can enter a mountain that is incomparable to the range of action when you hike, but the risk is high and you need to concentrate.

Riding a mobile is fun, but never easy.

The frozen lake of #Stewart.A flat that lasts forever. For the time being, the mobile is fully open.

TFR4-12

Snowmobiles are not a vehicle for snowboarders.

Snowshoes, crampons, ice axes, and tools needed for a slippery approach.

Depending on whether you can use the tool well or not, the place where you can slide will be decided.

The area is wide and the snow conditions are various, making it even more difficult to predict in the first place.

Find a place with good snow. What about an avalanche? It ’s good over there, but where do you climb from? No, it's difficult to climb.

If you do so, the time and place you can slide will be limited, but the hard work will make you happy when you slide.

#Mash hell and jump sessions. It's difficult to decide where and what to do.Where are you going to climb?

TFR4-11

#Time is 18:00.If you do your best, you can slide until about 20:00.

TFR4-17

I have a strong spirit of challenge, and I'm a fallen makuri.

The first thing in the first place. It's difficult to get close to the theme, but it's interesting.

It's perfect for a few turns when it starts to slide, it's crunchy when you're aiming for it, and it's crunchy when it flies.

It's nice to glide on the slopes where you can feel the first feeling no matter what the snow is.

The steep slopes where you can't see ahead are really thrilling.

TFR4-18

Snowboarding is addictive.I was talking about that.

I don't think it's normal anymore if my eyes are wide open when I'm slipping in a dangerous place.

I don't want to be there, but there are things that can only be found there.

I don't think there's anything like that.

There are different lines that feel ecstasy, but there is no other line like that.

Well, it's just a story within myself.

TFR4-10

Takafumi Konishi, who has a style close to himself, lives with his family in Shinano Town, Nagano.

Shinano-cho is so close that I think it's good.He has been in Canada for 10 years as Heart Films, with a relaxed atmosphere and slippery atmosphere.

The pumping derby that he is a snowboard addict is the most interesting event.

And he hasn't got out of WILD enough to wipe the dishes with tissue after camping.

Toru Kawaguchi has been skiing back and forth between Canada and Niseko for the past four years.

In the summer, I am training as much as possible to become a Carpenter.Attentive he is likely to build a good house.

He who always plays a well-balanced role is also immersed in Hitahita.

#Haines Last day.The weather was nice, but the mobile suddenly broke and we had an interview day.Toru dances comfortably.

TFR4-27

#Hike up steep slopes & ridges together. The scenery that I have never seen spreads out.

TFR4-25

Once you get used to camping, you won't have any trouble.

The only inconvenience is that I have to build a house from scratch, there is no radio wave, there is limited water and electricity, and I can't take a bath.

The place to slip is close, the nature is full, and sometimes it's a little cold, but if you enjoy lighting the fireplace, you can live.

It may be good not to feel inconvenience as inconvenience, and sometimes forget about the usual things.

When that happens, a new world will come into view.

1Roadtrip / 5 people / 54days / 10,000km / Life in the camps

Snowboard while doing a road trip.

In text, it's a very simple journey.

TFR4-13

# The journey is over >>> Future

The bonfire was so comfortable last night that I couldn't sleep easily.

The moon is bright and the mountains are beautiful, and there are grouse and foxes there.

If I go to bed today, this view will be the last one. It's a waste to sleep.I don't want to sleep.

I'm just thinking about things like children.

TFR4-2

The end of the road trip was quick.

2,600km from haines.

It's okay if your car breaks and is towed for about 300km.

Our Canadian survival ability is amazing.

That evening we had a social gathering at the local bar.

I'll be back to Whistler in about 3 days.I was impressed by the beautiful green that I saw after a long time.

After cleaning up and boarding the plane, it's already Japan.

#This style pulls 300km.As expected, Canada.The towing fee is $ 700.

TFR4-28

Do what you like while traveling and try new things in new places.

The scenery I saw during my two-month trip, the people, towns, and mountains that are completely different from place to place.

We are even more different from Japan.

You guys are like Eskimos.I was sometimes told.

Plenty of stimulation in life and mountains.

TFR4-19

The glaciers and mountains found in Canada and Alaska are magnificent and beautiful.

Scenery not seen in Japan. But I also miss the mysterious mountains of Japan.

You can see the aurora, but you can't see the sunset and the rice fields.

There is BIG LINE, but there is no JAPOW.

There are wonderful things everywhere, and it's interesting to enjoy the style of the area.

Life and slipping are in a shape that fits the land.

Release yourself and just feel the rhythm.

TFR4-23

TFR4-15

I missed Alaska last night.

The mountains of Alaska are hard to come by.

The image does not fit.Every time, it exceeds the size of my imagination.

Wow.Wow.Seriously.Yaba.That's all.

It's often the case that you can't go where you want to go.

It's just something that seems to be still a long way off.

Such a new sensation is extremely stimulating, and my pupils are already open.

That's why I can't stop.

I met a snowboard and started traveling.

Throughout the trip, the appeal of snowboarding has deepened.

I've known snowboarding since I was only in Japan.

I understand the goodness of Japan and the goodness of Canada now.

Travel makes snowboarding and life fun.

TFR4-22

Now that the trip is over.

I want to slip in Japan.I'm thinking.

No, you may be wondering if snowboarding is good for the time being.

But I know I'm going to Alaska right away.

He seems to like to go to various places.

He seems to like doing various things.

Snowboarding and traveling.

It's interesting because there is no end no matter how far you go.

difference.Is it over there next?

But sometimes I stay still.

a TRIP FOR REST of my life

A journey of life.

It's all up to you.

No matter what you choose, it's the same.

You just have to live honestly with yourself.
