Okutadami ~ RISHIRI-ISLAND

After returning from the North American snowboard trip for about two months, three days later I went to Rishiri Island, Hokkaido for a catalog shoot for XNUMX wear sponsor.

Before going, go to Okutadami in spring for two days.

Has the domestic snowboard brand test drive event presided over by Green.lab been held for more than XNUMX years? If I hadn't been to the United States, I would always attend, and at the end of the season, everyone would relax in the winter and slip on the spring snow.I've been FLOW for the last couple of years, so I'm just slipping freely, but ...

I rarely spend time in the park in winter, so I'm looking forward to the feeling that the park season has finally arrived. ..

This kicker had a really hard time maintaining the speed of jumping. There is a park jump approach and takeoff, but it's really difficult to get used to that kind of slip.Because you notice the difference. ..

But well, in the slow spring snow, only the kicker can enjoy the air time (jump) with ammonium sulfate, so it's fun and persistent.

Both the mini kicker and the half pipe were interesting.

Then I slipped for two days, returned to Nagano, and then to Haneda.

I got on the new Nagano Shinkansen Asama E-7 series both when I returned from the United States and when I went to Haneda, but anyway, I was really in trouble because I didn't have enough space to put my luggage.

For foreign tourists who have come to Japan, which is attracting worldwide attention as a snow resort, playing in Tokyo and going to the mountains on the Shinkansen seems to be one event, but that Then winter will be a big deal. ..The conductor also said that to me, who was carrying a huge baggage. ..

Why is this happening? There is no doubt that it will be a negative point because there are only people from countries where it is natural that there is space for bicycles on trains and buses. ..

Oops

so I got back to Japan, and next day I drove 3hours to Okutadami-ski area in Niigata to see all my crew and ride spring slushy snow, for 2days.sleep in the van. Good times ..

then back to Haneda airport to meet 241 founder MikeBasich, and the crew. We going to Rishiri-tou (island) for 5days to do some photo / movie shooting for new catalog ..

On the way to Wakkanai, the northernmost tip of Hokkaido, while passing through the riverbank of Hokkaido Naming Land, witnessing white-tailed eagles, and witnessing a little Ainu art.

Meet Neil Hartmann at a ramen shop near JR Wakkanai Station, the northernmost railway station in Japan

From here, take a ferry to Rishiri Island

I had some time to see the weather, so when I was guided to the island,

At the beginning of the climb, there is Kanro Izumi, one of the XNUMX famous waters in Japan, and you can get water here both on the way and on the way back.

A setting that is extremely inspiring for a spring water enthusiast

How was it sweet and delicious? When I was asked, "Umu ... It's sweet dew.", I felt like a sbetta.

I received the words of Emperor Showa that I read on the signboard of Niseko's Kanromizu.

natural spring water at the entrance of the pass.
