Takasu Superpipe Session round 11

Unlike the sunny weather of the Washigatake SlopeStyle Session, which was the previous day's Pro Tour Freestyle, the Takasu Superpipe Session, which was held after that, was hit by heavy rain from the night before, and it was unavoidable even in the morning. The players went to the riders' meeting in the morning with anxious faces.

Although it was raining heavily, there was no wind and the visibility itself was good, and the super pipe was clearly visible from the center house, so there were some changes in the judgment of the tournament management. However, it was announced that it would be held from the scheduled time, and in recent years it has become a tournament in a rare heavy rain.

This rain has a lot to mean, and because it was raining from the night before, the snow on the slopes has holes and becomes uneven.

This is the same in the half pipe that will be the venue.

While I was visiting the venue, I was wondering if I could adjust the course, but while getting soaked, the digger who pulled the marker by maintaining the super pipe boasting a height of XNUMX m, which is the course of this tournament. was.

First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to them for holding the tournament in the heavy rain that falls on everything.

And in the main tournament, including the meaning of relieving the burden on the players, the session divided into two for boys will be one session, and all 1 boys who entered will be double-up in one session. It was a qualifying session.

Qualifying was successfully completed for both men and women while it was raining all the time.

From now on, at the women's final, suddenly the visibility of the dense fog became poor and we went to waiting.

In a rainy day, the final was canceled after the final waiting time and the qualifying result became the final result.

Everyone was disappointed, but this is also a sport that can only be done by nature and by the benefits of nature, and there are good times and bad times.

Of course, I think there was a feeling of having a final even from the tournament management.

However, I felt that the management side would have made a tough decision because I could not confirm the safety of the players, the maintenance of the course, and the prospect of recovery of the weather ahead.

The winner of the women's final result is Hikari Oe.

She has an overwhelming ability and a sense of stability that is unrivaled even when looking at qualifying, such as showing the tall Frontside 720 perfectly even in the latter half of the run.

I felt the possibility of having a more difficult routine in the final, but I think it will be fun for the Pro Tour next season.

Women's results

1 Hikari Oe

2 Sena Tomita

3 Imai Kurumi

There were some players who couldn't hide their regret and resentment because there were many young players, but the world of the game was sometimes ruthless, and the players who couldn't play an active part even though they were still able to show their abilities, so I wanted to see Lou in the final. It was a shame because I was really looking forward to teens and tricks.

Even so, it was a tournament that made me feel that it is necessary for athletes to be calm and foreseeable in order to get into the upper ranks.

I would like to thank everyone at Takasu Ski Resort in Gifu Prefecture, all the digger, the management department, all the players, and all the players who provided the best super pipes, and I really want to thank them for holding the tournament even in difficult weather.

I'm really thankful to you.

With this, all the Pro Tour freestyle events (Straigth Jump, SlopeStyle, Halfpipe) have been completed.

We will do our best to hold the next year's tournament even better, so we look forward to your continued support next season.
