I asked Masaomi Harada about [Fastech] and [Multi-entry], their advantages and how to choose.

"What binding to use".This will make a big difference in slip and style. "Which model to choose" is important, but "what kind of mounting system is used for the binding" is also an important point. There are two types of mounting systems for SP binding, [Fastech] and [Multi-entry], but what are the advantages of each?I asked Masaomi Harada.

[Fastech]

There is no heel cup, and the rear entry system is installed by raising the high back and pushing the entire foot toward the tip of the toe.

[Multi-entry]

Remove the Evo buckle on the toe cup and ankle strap to loosen the strap. It can be attached and detached without tilting the high back.

Please tell us the merits of [Fastech] and [Multi-entry].

Harada:The good thing about [Fastech] is the speed of attachment and detachment. It's great that once you adjust the attachment / detachment, you can attach it with the same hold feeling every time. With [Multi-Entry], you can adjust the degree of tightening each time, just like normal binding, so it's nice to be able to easily change the hold feeling according to the situation.

How about using it on both the slopes and the backcountry area?

Harada:[Fastec] selects the place to install.Once you get used to it, you can easily install it, but basically you need to install it in a flat place. If you get used to it, you will be able to wear it by riding on the toe side edge with your back facing the valley side. [Multi-entry] locks the highback after loosely tightening the two ratchets. After that, if you close the two ratchets, you can get a firm hold.

What kind of person do you think each is suitable for?

Harada:[Fastech] is especially suitable for people who often put on and take off at parks.Recommended for those who can slide in any field with the same hold feeling. [Multi-entry] is suitable for people who often cannot attach or detach bindings in flat places such as side country.Since it can be installed from directly above the board, not from the rear, it is easy to install in any situation. Also, it is easier to put on and take off when you have to remove the binding because you have fallen in deep snow.
