The 15-16 season, which would have been unsatisfactory for snowboarders due to lack of snow.Even so, the JSBA official tournament, PSA-AISA Pro Tour, was held as usual. In the 14-15 season, he won the JSBA official Kanto tournament slopestyle general men and gained momentum, but he missed the JSBA official professional qualification one step further.Juri Shibasaki was motivated for the 15-16 season.
While maintaining good performance in the 15-16 season, he won the PSA-ASIA Pro Tour Trial but lost to the professional ability in the Pro Tour. However, at the PSA-ASIA Pro Tour held in March 2016, he remained in the professional match final while being an amateur, and obtained the JSBA official professional qualification. He has been a head snowboards user since he was an amateur and has been professionally qualified using head snowboards materials. At the end of the season, I joined the head snowboards japan team on a sunny day.
Since he was an amateur, he has left a video in a video production called Chestnutz Film, showing off his youthful and aggressive riding.Manipulating from high revs to stylish low revs, it has an attractive riding style.
This time is a special interview with Juri Shibasaki. Please read it because it is a content that approaches his mind.
Q1 First of all, please introduce yourself!
I'm 20 years old from Saitama prefecture. I'm Juri Shibasaki, who graduated from virginity at the age of 19.I mainly ski at Nekoma Ski Resort.I'm stiff, but I'm proud of myself being tough and not breaking! And mental is weak!Lol
Q2 What is your riding style?
Mainly slopestyle events.I especially like jumping, and regular FS spins are good at missing toes.I am confident in the height and distance.
Q3 What are your current main activities?
I am mainly competing in domestic competitions. At other times, I'm working on the Chestnutz Film crew. Please remember why I belong to the crew.
Q4 Did you get a professional qualification last season? What kind of event?
In March 2016, at the MORISPO CUP held at Washigatake Ski Area in Gifu Prefecture, he remained in the professional final and finished in 3th place.Cleared the ranking rules for professional competition and obtained JSBA official PRO qualification! !! !! !! !!The event is slopestyle.
Q5 How do you feel when you achieve one goal?
I started snowboarding in the sixth grade of elementary school and had my parents take me to indoor practice facilities and ski resorts until I got my driver's license.I am glad that the cooperation of my family and the results of my efforts have come true.I think I was able to give back to my parents a little after getting a professional qualification. When I got a professional qualification, what I had experienced and what I felt at that time ran into my head like a magic lantern.
Q6 What kind of professional snowboarder do you want to be?
I want to be a professional snowboarder who wants to imitate and buy the gear I'm using!I want to be a snowboarder HERO.
Q7 What is the undercarriage gear when you get a professional qualification?
All head gears, the board is Force i, KERS, the binding is NX FIVE DF, and the boots are SEVEN BOA.
Q8 How do you feel when using that model?
As it is a solid and stiff camber board, it is hard to flutter and it is easy to jump.Free run is also easy to edging and is in good condition! The binding is hard to break, and the tightness of the ankle strap fits your foot nicely. And I personally like the auto-open total strap because it's convenient. The best thing about boots is that they hold your foot with just the right hardness and don't feel tight.
Q9 What are your goals for the first three years as a professional?
I want to sell my name within the 3rd place in the PSA-ASIA point ranking.I'm not very good at jib, so I want to polish it more.
Q10 What is your ultimate goal as a professional?
Even at the first ski resort, I want to be a rider who can recognize "Juri Shibasaki" without looking at his face when he is free-running or jumping. And I want to be a rider who longs for me even if I am alone.
Q11 Please give a word to the people who read this, and your future activities and enthusiasm!
I have just started walking as a professional, but I want to use head tools by accumulating achievements in competitions and playing an active part!I want to be a rider that many people will think of.I will do my best, so please support me.
