1963년 에콰도르 출생.풍부한 자연에 둘러싸인 라틴 문화 속에서 자라며 14세에 서핑을 시작한다. 18세에 플로리다에 건너 대학 졸업 후 캘리포니아로 이주.현재 라구나 비치에 스튜디오를 둔다.모래사장의 그분에게 희미하게 보이는 파도를 원망하는 것 같은 독특한 작풍으로 알려져 있다.빈티지 우드나 메탈 등의 머티리얼을 작품에 살리는 것도. 2008년에 작품집 『Wolfgang Bloch』가 출판되어 라구나 아트 뮤지엄에서의 개인전도 성공.서프 아티스트의 차원을 넘어 예술가로서 널리 평가되고 있다.

In 1963, born in Ecuador and grown up in the Latin culture surrounded by rich nature. Started surfing at 14, moved to Florida at 18, and then to California after a graduation from the university. He now owns his studio in Laguna Beach. His works are marked with the unique style viewing the dim waves from a distant beach, sometimes using unique materials like vintage woods and metal.
