Keiko Yanagisawa, one of our longest ambassadors and most supportive fans, testing out new sections at the Nikita café & park in Onjuku town, Japan. Since a young age, Keiko has always been into boardsports, not giving it up for anything, despite whether things are going well or not. She says “it’s my life, like brushing my teeth, eating rice…”. The construction of the skatepark and café was a dream for Keiko, her husband and the town in which she lived. Initially surfers, skaters and snowboarders hung out there but the Nikita Café and Park is now a haven for many other visitors and like-minded people starting out skating.

“It’s so lovely to enjoy each others company, so happy! I think in the same mind with Nikita and that’s why we named it the Nikita Café and Park, it’s so easy going. It’s near the beach, great in summer and of course there’s nice coffee in winter!” – Keiko #ForGirlsWhoRide

Amelia Brodka is a Polish-born skateboarder who moved to the U.S.A. with her family for what her parents told her was, a “summer vacation” when she was 8 years old. Amelia started skating in 2001 and has since had an extremely full and well-documented career. She’s not only claimed (and continues to claim) podiums for herself, but also found a way to give back to the female skate community along the way by founding the non-profit organization Exposure Skate. Currently residing in Southern California and enjoying the good life, Amelia splits her time between organizing all-female skate days and seeking out the best vert ramps and parks to skate for herself.

Here, Amelia wears our latest Aurora Raglan Tee, available now at Nikita retailers worldwide! Click our LINK IN BIO to find the closest location to you! #ForGirlsWhoRide

@nadjaflemming has only been snowboarding for five years, but already her impact on the European scene has been massively felt. Two years after learning to snowboard, she tried her first contest and was immediately hooked... Since those initial season, she’s fully immersed herself in the culture by living on the road (#vanlife) & claiming comps all over the continent. Last season she claimed the Bavarian Slopestyle Champion and even made it out to the World Cup in Park City where she placed 13th. And THAT is how you make it happen, ladies. 🚐✨✨✨ #ForGirlsWhoRide ... See MoreSee Less
