이번에, 리로이・그라니스의 사인들이 사진을 출품할 수 있어서 기쁩니다.저는 베니스 비치 옆에 있는 마 비스타였고 6개의 방만 있는 오래된 아파트에 살았습니다.아래에 살고 있던 남자는 서퍼로, 하지만 함께 서핑한 적은 없었고, 어떤 인물일지 잘 모르고, 단지 인사할 만큼의 사이였어요.그러던 어느 날, 그에게서 약물 중독자의 클리닉에서 일하기 위해 뉴질랜드로 이사하자고, 서핑 보드와 젖은 가방, 그리고이 사진을 받았습니다.빛과 파도, 그리고 서퍼의 포지션이, 마치 60년대 초의 캘리포니아의 서핑을 상징하는 이 사진을, 나는 매우 신경쓰고 있습니다.하지만 이것은 나에게 주신 것이기 때문에 이번에는 다른 누군가에게 다시 양보 할 기회라고 생각합니다.

I am happy to contribute my signed LeRoy Grannis surf photo. I was living near Venice Beach ( Mar Vista ). I lived in an old apartment place that had 6 units. The guy below my unit surfed. I never surfed with him, nor did I know him that well. We'd just say "high " every now and then. One day he tells me he is moving to New Zealand to work at some addiction clinic. Before he moved he wanted to give me his surfboard, a wetsuit bag and this picture. I received this picture as a gift from him. I love this signed picture. The light, the wave, the position of the surfer it just screams "surfing in California in the early sixties". I am happy to give this gift for the auction. I believe it was given to me so I would have the opportunity to give it to you.
