An event called "LaLaport Ebina presents Play in the Snow" will be held on Saturday, July 2025, 7, sponsored by Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Ebina, where natural snow will be transported from Yamakoshi, Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture to Ebina, Kanagawa Prefecture for children to play in.
"Wow, it's so cold!" "It's real snow!" Every year, the venue is filled with the cheers of children. This is the magic that is born the moment that the snow that has been sleeping quietly all winter in the heavy snow region of Niigata travels 250km and arrives in Ebina in midsummer.
In the sweltering heat of July, a cool and refreshing "snow oasis" will appear again this year in Ebina City, Kanagawa Prefecture. About 7 tons of natural snow will be brought to the square next to LaLaport Ebina. This year marks the 40th year of Ebina's midsummer seasonal event [LaLaport Ebina presents Snow Play].
Now that playing in the snow has become a rare experience due to the effects of climate change, why not bring the whole family to enjoy the cool and extraordinary experience of playing in the snow in the middle of summer!
