TRIP FOR REST Let's go on a journey that will be engraved in your heart.

TRIP-1-TATEYAMA1

TRIP FOR REST trip.1 Tateyama

The first TRIP that marks the beginning of TRIP FOR REST is the Tateyama area in Toyama prefecture.

Japan's only glacier, grouse, Kurobe Dam, and Jigokudani that keeps smoking.

It is one of the most heavy snowfall areas in the world, and in winter it is 20 degrees below freezing, with strong winds and blizzards.

There is a sightseeing route to Tateyama, and you can easily take a bus or cable car to the 2450m Murodo terminal.

And it is a place where you can see mountain patterns and snow scenes that are rarely seen in Japan.

It is also a place visited by many snow mountain lovers from mid-November to the final day before closing in preparation for the harsh winter in the end of November.

Last year, I went to Tateyama on the day of the avalanche where many people died, and felt the threat of the mountain again.

I also visited Tateyama for the last snowboard in the spring of last season, but rather than slipping in bad conditions, I climbed up to see the scenery, was hit by rain in a tent, and in a short period of time I could hardly know Tateyama. , I was made to change that I couldn't slip.

I wanted to slide on a good slope like Tateyama before the coming season, so I planned a tent trip for 4 nights and 5 days, and headed to Tateyama with rider Hiroyuki Konishi (Konitan), cameraman Toshiyuki Kajita (KAJI) and myself, Kazushige Fujita. rice field.

TRIP-1-TATEYAMA2

We are not accustomed to the big luggage after a long absence.

I'm training in the off-season, but I can't make enough time for it, and a baggage of about 30kg is heavy enough to let me know what I'm missing.

The cameraman KAJI is carrying the luggage.Besides this bag, another backpack and snowboard for shooting.

Photographers also have to carry heavier luggage than riders in order to get good footage.

KAJI, which takes both images and photos, has a video camera with a single-lens reflex camera, a tripod, a battery for shooting for 5 days, and a lot of shooting tools.

In terms of size, the video camera is large, but in reality, the single-lens reflex camera is heavier, and surprisingly the heaviest part is the moving head of the tripod.

A good head is heavy, but it seems to move better, and it is not well known that the head is heavier than the legs of a tripod.

Backcountry photography requires the ability to slide, the physical strength to walk, and the knowledge.

If you don't have the skill to slip, climbing a mountain is quite risky in the first place, and if you don't have the physical strength, you can't shoot efficiently.

In order to shoot from a good angle, the cameraman also has to go to a dangerous place, and it is often a different action.

Very few young photographers want to shoot mountains, and KAJI, who loves mountains, is a reassuring companion for us who wants to continue to grow together.

TRIP-1-TATEYAMA3

The view from the tent is amazing! It's so great that you can say it many times, and you can see the mountains of Tateyama, the city of Toyama, and the sea.

The colors of the sky and mountains that change from morning till bed never get tired of watching, and it makes me think that it's a waste to sleep.

However, life on the mountain is pitch black at 17:XNUMX, and it is basic to keep early hours.

On the second day, I headed to Mt. Bessan, which is a little further back on the top of the mountain on the far right.

TRIP-1-TATEYAMA4

While feeling the pain of hike for the first time in a long time, the feeling of snow transmitted from the soles of the feet and the pure white scenery give power.

Looking back, I saw Konishi and Kaji climbing on the back of Okudainichidake, and I was intrigued by the mountains in the back.

Apparently I'm the only one who's fine.Lol

TRIP-1-TATEYAMA5

KAJI heads to the shooting spot, and they head to the drop point on the desired slope.

Overcoming the steep ridgeline of the rocky area and looking at KAJI from the drop point, I am standing in a place that seems to be quite comfortable.

KAJI looks like a mountain ridge above the clouds, a place where you are worried that you may fall to the other side.

After seeing Konishi take the first ride to the shooting spot before them, they also prepare for each line.

TRIP-1-TATEYAMA6

The slope that I and Konishi are perfect for this season's first ride.

Moderate slope and moderate terrain. There are no words other than the best.

I will firmly grasp the feeling of snow after a long absence with the edge.

It was a long turn that made me feel relaxed at the end after passing through the shot while being scared by the slightly hard snow.

TRIP-1-TATEYAMA7

I slipped first and pointed the camera at Konishi from below.

From the smile of Konishi, you can feel the best condition.

I'm happy with the season-in line as I skated in the place I was aiming for from the previous day.

You can get a good experience because you have a hard time walking.

It can be said that good things and good things are not easily available.

TRIP-1-TATEYAMA8

In the evening, I was able to worship the beautiful sunset peculiar to Tateyama.

There are many people taking pictures in the sunset that everyone wants to take pictures.

Among them was Yuta Nishikawa, a rider who came with the Toyama crew.

It's obvious that you're planning something.Voyeur that one cut.

TRIP-1-TATEYAMA10

HEART FILMS skiers who lived together in Canada, people who became friends in Toyama in the summer, Yuta Kiyohara from Hokkaido, and many new friends.

Half of the tent area is friends, and it feels strange to have a friendly atmosphere.

We meet each other's houses (tents) and drink together at night.

If you go to a snowy mountain, you will meet someone, and snowboarders, skiers, professionals, guides, hobbies, and the common place of snowy mountains will connect with many people.

In the snowy mountains, you will always feel a different kind of fun than when you were at the tournament in the park a long time ago.

TRIP-1-TATEYAMA9

At night, a beautiful starry sky appears, and on a bright moon day, you can see yourself and the shadows of the mountains.

I and KAJI, who like photography, go to photo play with a camera in one hand.

One day, it was a strong wind, rain, and sleet all night, and when I woke up in the morning, the tent was blown or half. Or.

It's not easy or safe, but if you take risks and act with your head, you will surely have a wonderful experience.

I walked around in various ways at the 3rd Tateyama TRIP, and the charm of Tateyama spreads as I repeated the number of times.

Tateyama walks everything and acts, and it is difficult to know because of the weather, but as the days go by, he can step into an area he did not know step by step.

There are many mountains all over the world that you can't go even if you spend your snowboarding life, and in the end you may only know the place you chose, but Tateyama is a place you'll want to visit again and again.

I want to visit the place where the mountain leads, step by step, without rushing.

TRIP-1-TATEYAMA13

Tateyama was crowded with many people on the last weekend.

Looking at it, it seems that there are more participants in guided tours than individuals.

It was covered with clouds and the condition was not good, but Tateyama was full of smiles of people who were obsessed with the charm of snowy mountains.

For the coming snowy mountain season, I was able to reconfirm and regain my spirit for 4 nights and 5 days.

Meet Konishi, KAJI, and many friends.

And Tateyama who welcomed us.

I will continue to challenge the snowy mountains without forgetting my gratitude.

Next to Tateyama, head to Hakuba, Nagano Prefecture.

The full-scale season has begun.
