recap of citywave TOKYO

Hello, this is CAP. It's about mid-November and it's time to return to the snow.It was really hot this summer ...I summarized the heat with events related to citywave TOKYO in Suporu Oimachi, which ran through from July.

↑↑ The beginning of the matter started with the story that an artificial surfing facility could be built in the sports complex "Sporu Oimachi" operated by JR East in Oimachi ... and we are looking for a person in charge of operation there. It was mid-June when I talked to CAP about the twists and turns. I was told that it will open on August 6th, what is Hate city wave?It started from a blank slate that I didn't know at all.

↑↑ It's an embarrassing story, but since I went to Miuchen in early July, I could understand that it is a facility where you can experience river surfing, which has gained some citizenship in Europe (rather than Germany). rice field. citywave is currently (as of November 7, 2018) based in Müchen, Zurich (Switzerland), Vienna (Austria), Osnabrück, Northern Germany [Details], St. Gilles Croix de Vie (I can't read ... but France), Tel Aviv (Israel), Tokyo, Moscow, Berlin [under constructionDetails], Switzerland, USA and a global chain of artificial surfing facilities with 10 stores.

↑↑ Actually the Eisbach river in the city of Miuchen (Past blog 1,Past blog 2) Sees that it is quite popular in the inland areas of Europe such as Germany and Switzerland, where surfing is not easy due to its great success. But wait.Ocean surfing goes down the waves from top to bottom, while river surfing rides the waves rolling up from the bottom. In other words, the direction is opposite, so the feeling is quite different. I always had the question, "Is river surfing and ocean surfing different sports?"This mystery solving was unknown until August.

↑↑ citywave TOKYO is still flat. The photo is July 7th.The motor isn't running yet, even though it's been cut for two weeks until it opens. In other words ... I haven't experienced river surfing yet ...After returning from Miuchen, let's form a new team and train after a period of preparation for the angry waves! But I can't do anything because the machine isn't working ...The first time the motor moved was August 30st.From here, the whole team will carry out angry training for more than 2 hours a day in the scorching sun. What I found there ...That's surfing. That's it.

↑↑ I think so if you look at this picture. The bottom turn is impossible in terms of space, but the top turn is not inferior to that of fascinating with waves. When I was a beginner / beginner, I was just moving sideways and wondering "Is this surfing?", But as I improved, I definitely became "surfing".That's why this year I surfed only twice in Japan for the three months from August 8th to November 5th (although I was surfing abroad ...).

↑↑ There are various opinions, but since it is surfing without gimmicks, so many customers have experienced this place and many people are returning as repeaters. At the same time, a lot of spectators came on Saturday and Sunday. It makes me happy when I imagine that I would have the feeling of "It's amazing! I saw it for the first time! I want to see it!"I am proud that it has created a new sensation in the surfing industry in the sense that it is in a special environment and in a special location (in the middle of the city), and I am really proud to be involved in it.

↑↑ I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful team staff who supported all of this.It was really hot this summer. As the only citywave surf "professional" instructor in Japan, I told about 1 people surfing (actually river surfing ...) while the temperature was gone. Of course, citywave TOKYO will be operated in winter as well. However, CAP will be active in Aizuwakamatsu base again from December 12st to do the main business (I do not know which of surf and snow is the main business ...) once away from the local business. We are undertaking an inbounds attraction business in Fukushima prefecture, and we are skiing with Aussie customers based on the slopes in the Aizu area. Please let us know when you meet in the mountains. It may be hard to understand because it's black wear this year ... (laughs)

Finally ... does citywave have a huge impact on surfing and snowboarding? The answer is, of course, YES.So the first mystery, "Is river surfing and ocean surfing different sports?" Is now clear. "The two are exactly the same! And snow should have a huge impact!" What kind of snowboarding? I want to know if there was any impact ❤︎
