PSA Asian Open Banked Slalom in Kawaba

BS1

In the memorable year of the 20th anniversary of PSA ASIA, the first Banked Slalom tournament will be held at Kawaba Ski Resort in Gunma Prefecture !!!

In collaboration with the Sports Commission to which PSA ASIA belongs, the best stage was prepared with the great support of Kawaba Village.

And it is the place where the big event M & M BANKED SLALOM sponsored by Marasaki Sports is held, and we were able to hold it safely with the cooperation system in place.

BS2

Using the M & M course held the day before, the technical course is almost the same, although there were some changes in the way the gate was swung.

First to the section where the gate was swayed to the mini pipe from the ultimate S-shaped crank bank.

After that, it was a course setting that the super high speed bank continued until the finish.

As long as you hear the story of Takashi Ikeshita, a former PSA member at the MC the day before, how do you attack the first bank?I think it was a situation where the luck was divided.

And what attracted the excitement above all was that the riders of PSA ASIA's all-category tour ranking No. 1 (ALPINE, FREESTYLE, SNOWBOARD CROSS) participated.

It was a race where you can feel the excitement of seeing the direct confrontation of such riders while watching the players who are seriously inspecting the course.

The first one finally started in that tension !!!

BS3

First of all, the Motoki brothers of SX top riders who were on the podium the day before showed off a marginal riding of around 1 minute 7 seconds !!!
With this time probably becoming the top standard, former PSA member Sho Shiramizu finished in the 1'7s range.

BS4
After that, Kohei, who ranked first in the ALPINE tour ranking last year, set the fastest time in the low 1'1's !!!

And Jun Soneda, who has a good reputation in the banked slalom, will also develop the race following the 1rd place with 6 minute 3 seconds.

The weather was good and the temperature was high, so the second run started in the rough course conditions !!!

FREESTYLE Hashimoto Yuona and SNOWBOARD CROSS Nojima Makoto have improved the time from the first run.

However, the time of the two people did not reach one step and finished in the low 2 minute 1 seconds range.

In a situation where the time did not improve from the first run, SX Chapion Kohei Motoki two years ago finished with the best time in the low 1 minute 2 seconds range.

After Kohei, who is the top player by a small margin, finished the second run, the screaming of the spectators became awesome!?!?!?

When I checked it on the camera monitor during live shooting, it was engraved in the 1 minute 4 second range !!!

Even the day before, I was surprised at Kohei who hit the 1 second range while the game was in the 6 minute 4 second range, and it was a great word.

BS8

Meanwhile, Koju Ai, who had been showing off a good riding from the day before !!!

Naoko Araki, who won the M & M championship two years ago, and Junko Yamada, a former PSA member who won the championship last year, took the lead on the recommendation of Marasaki Sports, and decided to win the championship with a momentum slightly exceeding the standard time.

bs11

Starting from the welcome party after the rider's meeting the day before, there are many participation prizes such as Kawaba Village's bran rice "Yukihotaka".

It was a tournament where you could feel the "hospitality" to the participating players.

I strongly felt that the appeal of this banked slalom is that it will be a place where PSA ASIA can show off the best riding and it will be a decisive battle that overcomes the barriers of each category.

BS9

With the great cooperation of Kawaba Village and Marasaki Sports, including Kawaba Ski Resort, which prepared such a tournament venue, we were able to hold a truly wonderful tournament.

Thank you very much.
