In the summer of 2016, the beach event "MURASAKI SHONANOPEN2016 supported by NISSAN" will be held on July 7th at Kugenumakaigan (Fujisawa City), the birthplace of surfing in Japan, in order to disseminate sports culture from one of Japan's leading beach resorts. It will be held for 11 days from Sunday (Monday) to 18th (Monday / holiday)!
Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has been selected as the title sponsor this year as well, and the "Nissan NV350 Caravan" vehicle used daily by contract riders of Marasaki Sports will be exhibited at the venue this year as well.
In addition, a key visual that expresses the venue full of resort atmosphere by illustrator Shuntaro Takeuchi has been completed!
The content will be further enhanced from last year so that people of all ages, from adults to children, can enjoy the event.In addition to the main contents such as the international surfing competition "WSL WORLD SURF LEAGUE QS1500" and "JPBA Bodyboard Pro Tour", the school for kids, which is very popular every year, will be held again this year with surfing, bodyboarding, skateboarding and snowboarding.
Furthermore, this year the food land has been renewed.With the theme of beach resort, it seems that you can enjoy local Shonan gourmet food in a new atmosphere that is a bit different from last year.
The official T-shirts that are popular every year are produced by the popular surf brand "HURLEY", which continues from last year.Prior to the event, it will be on sale from mid-June at each Marasaki Sports store.Also, on the day of the event, a special viewing ticket will be given to those who purchased the official T-shirt at the venue (first-come-first-served basis), and you will be able to prepare an area where you can relax and enjoy the event!
