SPINEBACK series with adjustable hardness
YONEX bindings come in three different SPINEBACK binding series, all equipped with the SPINE CUSTOMIZE SYSTEM, which allows you to change the flex (stiffness) of the highback to suit your preferred style and the scene.
The SPINE CUSTOMIZE SYSTEM allows you to replace the carbon shaft attached to the SPINE (spine), and by using shafts of different stiffness, you can adjust the stiffness of the highback.
When a hard shaft is installed, the highback becomes stiffer in the front-to-back direction, improving power transmission.
What's more, it maintains its lateral freedom and torsional softness, so even if you adjust the stiffness in the fore-aft direction, it doesn't compromise controllability.
There are three types with different base hardness, so you can choose the model that suits your preference, and by replacing the carbon shaft, you can achieve the ideal fit. The new model has an updated "SPINEBACK".
Polyurethane has been added to the heel area of the base to improve shock absorption and reduce twisting of the base, providing more comfortable control.
The highback has been made stiffer for faster response.
The SPINEBACK MFB, which is popular among freestyle skiers, now comes in a unique color scheme, making it even more appealing.
