Toshiki Yamane recently signed a contract with Owner Operator, a new clothing brand that will be launched in Japan this winter. We would like to share his personal message about his feelings and why he is currently traveling to snowboard shops across the country.

``Now that I'm 30 years old, I've started to look at the next step in terms of sponsorship deals. It's the core of the snowboarder brand. It's a cultural philosophy that transcends business, or rather justice.I'm taking the time to pass this on to the next generation. I think it's important for everyone involved in the brand to fight and communicate with the same spirit in order to reach the message. That's why I never quit Revolt and Acharm. That's why "Owner Operators" who feel the same way shine. I saw.

At first, I started snowboarding because I wanted to be a rider I admired or to look cool, but when I saw the current scene of riders who were being moved by the times, I thought that this was not conveying anything. They stick to what they think is cool, pursue their dreams, and connect them to business. And then I will move on to the stage that I have imagined. It takes time and is difficult, but I wanted to do it in that arena.

Starting this fall, I've started visiting snowboard shops across the country. We have been together for 17 years.Acharm(Owner Manabe-san)'s presence pushed me to take this action.

When I was around 14, I entered a jump competition in Geihoku (Hiroshima Prefecture) where the strongest riders in western Japan gathered. That was my first serious session, and I was covered in clothes, both in the space and in the jumps.I seriously didn't want to fly anymore. At that time, Manabe-san quietly wiped my goggles without saying anything. It was a moment when I felt many things.Even though I was immature and showed some lame skating, I had to eventually become someone who could surpass everyone here. But no matter what I did at the time, I couldn't compete with myself. When she warmly watched over my feelings and handed me the wiped goggles, I felt a voice in her heart telling me, ``Come with me.''I still haven't asked what I was thinking, but it was the moment when a big switch was turned on, even though I was reluctant to do so.I still remember it clearly.Other than that...I have only terrible memories (lol).

Acharm is a really hot pro shop.We have grown together with Mr. Manabe, team riders, and customers. And there are definitely people with similar passions in places I don't know about yet. With that in mind, I decided to visit snowboard shops across the country. It's my first time to travel like this, but I'm really excited and want to meet, talk and connect with as many people as possible.

This time I am making apparel and stickers.I would like to use the proceeds from this trip for this trip and the trip to Austria scheduled for November, and use it to improve my performance and results. The design is based on a girl named Misaki, and the main theme is her ``ultimate self.''Because it's the ultimate, it took me three years to catch up with both philosophy and design (lol). However, I think I was able to express my perfect self thanks to it.

I think it would be really interesting if I could connect with people by visiting hot shops all over the country, instead of just meeting them at events or snowy mountains. And as a snowboarder, I continue to believe that this connection has the most true value." Toshiki Yamane Instagramlinks

Owner Operator is unaffected by the current technology-oriented outerwear era that prioritizes comfort and functionality, and continues to stick to silhouettes and what they think is good. The photoshoot members and I selected this location because we felt that the unique tranquility and sacredness that you feel when you come to a shrine has something in common with the cool Owner Operator that is made in Japan and expressed in a natural field.
