"CITYWAVE" is an artificial wave facility that can be enjoyed not only by surfers but also by beginners who have never surfed before. Mainly in Europe, new locations have opened in recent years in Japan, Hawaii, Seattle, Dallas, Singapore, and other places, and there are currently 16 locations around the world, where world tours and competitions are held in various countries.
In fact, CITYWAVE is a great place for snowboarders to try out surfing, and the wave height can be adjusted to suit your level, so the barrier to entry is low enough that you can easily try surfing, making it the perfect place to improve your skills.
"citywave®︎Tokyo" will relocate from Shinagawa Oimachi to Sakaimachi, Ibaraki Prefecture in 2022, and grand opened as "citywave®︎Tokyo Sakaimachi" in April last year.
Starting this year, citywave®︎Tokyo is heading to a new stage with its first amateur tour and annual ranking system.
Following the SAKAI OPEN held in August last year, it has been decided that "ADVANCE MARKETING presents CITYWAVE JAPAN TOUR 8ND" will be held this summer as the second leg of the tour, which will be a major event.
ADVANCE MARKETING is an indispensable company for snowboarders, handling popular snowboard gear such as LIB TECHNOLOGIES, GNU, ALLIAN, ROXY, and BENT METAL, as well as the surf skate brand YOW.

"ADVANCE MARKETING presents CITYWAVE JAPAN TOUR 2ND" will be held from 7:21 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on July 5st.
Approximately 50 surfers from within and outside the prefecture are expected to participate in the tournament, which will be divided into four classes based on level.
There will also be a variety of activities planned for the event, including a hula dance team, a "YOW" surf skate test ride, food stalls, and more, and live broadcasting is also planned on the day.
There will be a lot of sponsored items on display, and not only tournament participants but also visitors and spectators will have a chance to get them. Admission is free, so be sure to check it out.
Also, next to CITYWAVE there is a glamping/camping site that just opened in April which is also currently open and worth checking out.
