Interview with Hikaru Takizawa

I think many snowboarders are crazy about snowboarding and continue to think about how to establish the snowboarding lifestyle they envision.

I think traveling is one of the effective ways to clarify the answer.
Whatever the reason, what I felt there should be an important turning point for the next connection, and it will be an unforgettable memory, and snowboard trips, both domestic and overseas, can be said to be the appeal of the snowboard lifestyle.

Each person has their own goals through snowboarding, and there is no one answer that "there is only this" for all of them, and what is the answer, goal, and dream for that person is completely different, but this time Niigata Prefecture When the upcomer from NZ, Hikaru Takizawa, came back from NZ, I was able to hear his thoughts with a trip.

Ever since I started snowboarding, I've been skiing all the time, but I've always been thinking about where I can play an active role.I haven't come to a conclusion yet, but I thought it would be good to go abroad and give an answer while practicing, so I chose this summer's trip to NZ.

During the period from the end of August to the end of September, I went on an expedition to improve my skills in New Zealand in the Southern Hemisphere, and the plan was about a year since I was thinking about it from this time last year. However, the members were two people who are close friends and three of me, but of course all three are not very good at English and started with somehow.

The route is to first fly from Narita International Airport for about XNUMX hours to Auckland on the North Island of New Zealand, then fly a little for about an hour on a domestic flight from Auckland to Christchurch, and then rent a pre-booked rental car from there. Drive for XNUMX hours to basetownWanakaIt was a pretty hard move.
During the flight, I just watched a movie and was distracted, and when I was tired, I felt like sleeping. While driving, take turns driving and detour to various places to Wanaka.I made a mistake on the wayWanakaSomehow while chilling with the empty lamp lit around XNUMX km in frontWanakaArrived at.

My teacher is hereWanakaIt made me feel very nostalgic because he taught me while sliding with me because I was based on.I really like the unique scenery and atmosphere of NZ, which is different from Japan.
This time I stayed at the first backpacker in my life. The backpacker we were staying in was rather quiet, and it was a very comfortable environment to live in because it was close to the town and the internet environment was good.

WanakaI went to slip from the next day.The slope isCardrona ski areaChoice. The slopes are large and the parks are substantial, so many famous riders from Japan and abroad came and were close to us.I think that such a place is also worth coming abroad.

In fact, NZ has already been visited several times by Hikaru Takizawa. It seems that this trip was a very good experience

It was a great experience to be able to skate during this time.Of course, I need to improve my skills, but I also felt that it was very important for me in the future to develop an atmosphere that I couldn't understand unless I slipped, an atmosphere that I couldn't taste unless I was in the field, and the ability to make decisions. I'm glad I was able to try what I learned at Kings. But one month seemed to be long and short.

On off days, you can take a rest, take a walk along the nearby lake, or take a walk in the neighboring town.QueenstownOn and off were fulfilling, such as going sightseeing.I personally like the natural scenery of New Zealand, so I was really healed. It was a good expedition because there was no big happening.

I think there are many snowboarders who go abroad to ski, whether they are amateurs or professionals, but the importance of the period depends on what they feel and what they think about when they act. I think.
I don't think it's wrong because each person has their own goals, but I think it is absolutely necessary to have the courage to do it when you do it and the determination to not do it when you don't.

I also felt that when I turned my eyes overseas, things in Japan became clearer.WearSummerThe cuts and fits that suit Japanese people, and the colors and styles that I think are cool as Japanese people, are conspicuous when they are overseas.
And even if I actually slipped, I could feel the ease of movement again in any field, and I thought that the color and style of the wear could express a part of me.I really recommend this season's clothing!I can confidently recommend it to you.

What I especially felt on this trip was that I could grow and do my best by having the support of the shop at work, the manufacturers and families who sponsor me, and many people. It was an expedition that deepened my gratitude.
I was able to feel various things, and I was even more motivated, so I would like to continue to move forward.
After that, I want to act as a sincere person without forgetting this feeling of gratitude, without forgetting etiquette, humanity, and grace as a person, and to be a snowboarder who is active not only in Japan but also overseas. The goal of becoming clear has become clear.

I don't care what the trigger is, but I feel that this trip was very important as my turning point.

I want to participate in the tournament overseas this year, and I want to have a year in which I can test my abilities, experience, and grow while feeling regretful.I'll do my best!
