Enjoy the spectacular view at Hoshino Resort Tomamu's Frost Terrace

An observation facility where you can view frost up close from a protruding deck

The "Frost Terrace" is located at an altitude of 1,088 meters on Mount Tomamu.
In winter, when the temperature drops to below freezing, the moisture and fog in the air stick to the trees and turn into "frost," creating a spectacular, sparkling landscape.
Ski resorts tend to bring to mind the image of a place for skiing, but this observation facility was built with the idea in mind of allowing people who don't ski to also experience the beauty of snow-capped mountains.
It takes just 13 minutes to get there by gondola. There is also a cafe called Kumo, where you can enjoy hot drinks and sweets.
Whether you ski or not, if you take the time to visit Tomamu, you should definitely go and see what its beauty has to offer you.

How to spend time at the "Frost Terrace"

1) Enjoy the spectacular view of the snow-covered mountains covered in frost from the observation deck.

On a clear, sunny winter day, gazing out at the blue sky and the white, snow-capped mountains covered in frost, you feel as if everything blends into the natural world.
Of course, people will feel differently about it, but in many cases, I think it brings to mind the image of "purification."
The observation deck, which was renovated in August 2021, is designed to jut out over the snowy mountain, so if you switch your perspective from far away to close up, you can see the frost up close.
On cool mornings, you can sometimes see sparkling diamond dust, and the impression is etched in your memory.
This means that the probability of seeing frost on this terrace is approximately 76%.

XNUMX)Take a stroll around the observation points and enjoy the various views.

The "Frost Terrace," which juts out into the air, is home to unique observation spots such as the cloud-shaped "Cloud Walk" and the "Cloud Bar," which is modeled after a bar counter.
They are all within a 200m radius of the observation deck, so you can enjoy a pleasant walk while taking in the views from different angles by touring the different observation spots. Another great thing about the park is that you can bring your dog along too.

3) Take a break with drinks and sweets inspired by frost

At the all-weather indoor cafe "Cloud Cafe," you can enjoy drinks and sweets inspired by frost.
You can take a break and enjoy the frost from inside the glass-walled shop, enjoying a blissful moment.
