COWDAY STREET 2024 is finally approaching this weekend, an event that will see artificial snow being spread over Kitamido (the temple grounds) in Osaka's business district, offering an extraordinary experience in the city of Osaka, where snow rarely falls or accumulates.
The highlight of the event will be held on the 23rd (Sat) - a world first (according to the COWDAY Executive Committee) - a snowboarding contest held within the grounds of a temple. 15 top athletes from Japan and abroad will be invited to compete against about 80 amateur snowboarders in the streets of Osaka!
It has also been decided that the men's qualifying round, in which invited athletes will participate, and the men's and women's finals, which will start at 19pm, will be streamed live on YouTube! Even if you can't make it to the venue on the day, be sure to check out the live stream!

<March 11th (Sat)>
15 invited athletes and about 80 amateur snowboarders will participate in the Snowboard Rail Contest, using rails set up in a special venue to compete on the difficulty and originality of tricks. Between the qualifying and final rounds, there will also be a snow play experience for children and a snowboarding performance by children (kids exhibition).

From sledding to snowboarding under the guidance of an instructor, children can have fun playing in the snow to their heart's content.
All equipment rentals, including snow play experiences, sleds, snowboards, etc. are available free of charge, so you can come empty-handed after shopping or going out. (Please bring your own change of clothes.)
