What you see ahead of you when you're serious about snowboarding
A general snowboarder group of working people “toolatefilm”.They are embodying local urban snowboarding in order to convey the splendor of the Hakodate area where they were born and raised to the next generation of snowboarders.Every day after work, helping with housework, gathering at nightly street spots and continuing shooting. This project is a record of the crazy challenge that they keep shooting every night for the first week (seven days) of the season.Delivered last week《Part XNUMX》During these four days, shooting every night while working, such as the difficulty of shooting and shooting troubles when the conditions change every day, had various happenings and physical burdens. At the same time, each member was able to feel the feeling of being particular about the spot.
Were they able to make up the shoot safely for the remaining three days? And what kind of emotions will be born when we face snowboarding more seriously than ever before? In this week's "Part 3", I would like to look back on the remaining three days with the diary and movie of Mr. Horio, the representative of toolate film, and convey the raw comments that each member felt through this shooting.

"The weather is still fine today. On this day, I was enthusiastic about the partition of the site and myself who had been spotlighting young people. I and Ishimoto's Goofy team challenged the backside double down. As a result, both of them were baptized with slums and no make-up, leaving homework for this season. They lived a normal life during the day and shot at night, which is the 2th day today. I also feel that my concentration is clearly lost. I learned one more thing from this project. When I think about it now, I think it was a slum that was caused by pride and overconfidence.
Fortunately, we had a lot of time to get together early and slam early to finish this spot, and we were able to secure a cut in the transfer session in the next section. After that, I did a free run in the park and the shooting was over.Even so, everyone's fatigue is not odd.The appearance of the crew trying to leave a cut in it is "You can do it if you face it seriously while working! It seemed that they were helping each other to prove it to each other. It ’s painful, but it ’s the best. ”

"Everyone was exhausted on the 6th day." What should I do? Where and what should I shoot? " The Hakodate Free Run was guided by one word! It was a session where the scenery of my beloved locals healed my mind and body. I tend to imagine urban snowboarding as slums and risks, but " Snowboarding is fun just because there is a slope and there is snow! ”. After a free run, I took a picture at another spot and withdrew before being kicked out, and the day was over. One day left. "

"'It's no good because the camera lens is damaged!'. On the final day, the main video camera lens was injured. I ran to the camera shop before shooting and suddenly stepped up the ring. I bought an old lens and quickly built it. The shopping team and the on-site team used their time efficiently. The planned shooting spot on this day was the cold weather peculiar to Hakodate, and the snow did not harden at all. I changed suddenly. I would go if someone could go to check in advance. The style worked well and I was able to move the place accurately and efficiently. By the XNUMXth day, everyone got used to the shooting behavior. Honestly, the accumulated burden made the old man's back pain worse. The landing of the handrail on the street is almost flat, so on the final day I chose a landing place with a slope that would not burden the landing as much as possible. We held an easy session for wall landing. The rider who made this spot on the final day, the rider who couldn't make it, and everyone must have taken the next shot. A small crew in the snowless area of Hokkaido. However, the project that I started somehow because of a little snowfall ended in this way.
"Toolatefilm 7days night war".The feeling of relief after it was over was not odd.The feeling of relief that survived safely preceded the feeling of accomplishment. "
What the crew who made "Our Seven Days Midnight War" felt
"I had a hard time shooting once or twice a week, but at first I thought I was really stupid, like shooting for a week. In December, I haven't got a body yet and haven't slipped in. But I'm kind of enthusiastic. Somehow a enthusiastic crew. What I felt after finishing the shooting was, after all, the crazy lovable guys who love snowboarding and are presenting their area! "by Tomoki Sato
"I enjoyed these seven days, but I was tired. I was used to the bad conditions of rain on the first day and snow on the next day, so I was able to survive, but I didn't have a body in the second half. But I laughed every day. I was able to spend time. I am proud of the “toolatefilm crew” who made this project. ”by Masaru Haga
"It's been five years since I snowboarded with this crew. I got used to the sudden remarks and actions of the boss (Yoshinori Horio). It was a fulfilling seven days when I found my own challenges and got off to a great start to the season."by Yusuke Terada
"I had a lot of scary and painful feelings, but I had a good experience of leaving videos and photos. I learned a lot from my seniors who play with free ideas. It was physically difficult, but soon again. I want to go shoot! I'm going to crush everyone this year and take the tripart. "by Manato Ishimoto
"Because I got feverish on the first day and left the front, I was frustrated while checking the daily situation on LINE. I want to leave good footage in the next shooting."by Miho Matsuzaki
"I've been watching the video of" toolatefilm "so far, and I'm glad that I participated in the shooting for the first time. It was very educational and very inspiring. I enjoyed the season to start by making use of my experience in this shooting. I want to go byby Mao Sato
"I was shocked that it took a lot of time to take one shot. I was surprised because I had no experience in selecting work, equipment, and location. I couldn't slide as I expected this time. But I want to do my best next time! "by Kosuke Kawamura
"I got off to a good season, but overall it was tough. But I was able to grow as a crew and as an individual, and I found many challenges. If I seriously face snowboarding while working, I thought I was able to do quite a lot, and above all, the ties of the crew deepened. I want to continue to express Hakodate Urban Snowboarding with the same stance. "by Yoshinori Horio
