"IF YOU KNOW YOU KNOW" Those who know will know. IYKYK Snowboards, with such a meaningful brand name, will be released this season. IYKYK develops products in collaboration with Adorable Snowsurf, a local snowboard brand from Gunma. Experts and patrol captains based in Hokkaido, Aomori Hakkoda, and Hakuba repeatedly test the products before commercializing them. As each of them is a specialist who knows the snowy mountains inside and out, they have a keen eye for products. The board lineup, designed based on their strict requests and feedback, includes two all-mountain boards specialized for freeride.
Models named the S series have a round tail shape, and are highly maneuverable in a wide range of fields, from sharp carving on piste runs to freestyle tricks and floating turns in powder. The reason for this is that, despite the round shape, the low camber is designed toward the back from the center. The nose side goes from low camber to gently flat and then rocker shaped. The tail side goes from low camber to rocker shaped. The original "floating camber" shape causes the nose and tail to rise when you step on the board, creating buoyancy in powder.
The other model is the F series, which has a split swallow tail and a shape specialized for powder and free riding. The 156 model has a wide waist width of 27.9 cm. Such a wide waist creates enough buoyancy even in deep powder. The sole shape of the F series also changes gradually from a similar low camber to a flat nose and then a rocker shape to provide high maneuverability even when carving. This unique sole shape creates even more buoyancy in powder and achieves high maneuverability. The swallow tail also has a full edge specification up to the inside of the tail, so it can cut snow firmly and prevent the board from cracking or getting wet. Both models are equipped with six insert holes on the front and back, so the rider can set the stance to their preference.
