Okutone Snow Park with a permanent banked course
"KAMOSHIKA LACE" was held at Okutone Snow Park in the same water area on 3/4 (Monday) the day after TENJIN BANKED SLALOM held on 5 / 3-6.This tournament is the first banked slalom tournament produced by Ryosuke Abe, who has won the OPEN class of TENJIN BANKED SLALOM in the past.
At Okutone Snow Park, a banked course has been permanently installed as the first attempt from this season.Every day, friends and visitors, mainly Ryosuke Abe, enter the course and gradually grow the bank.Also, from this season, a new lift has been added to the top of the slope, and a new slope course has been added.The bank course of this tournament will be held on a longer distance course by connecting the four banks created in the new new course on top of the permanent bank course.
(There seems to be a plan to add more banks to the new course next year)
More than 100 entries were gathered even on weekdays
Despite the short period of entry recruitment, which is about one week before the event, 1 pre-entries were gathered.The riders are HIGH WATER CREW (Yamato Maehara, Naoto Morota, Mitsuru Taira), who Ryosuke Abe is teaming up with on the water, BROWN RATS crew, Naonori Katsuyama who participated in TENJIN BANKED until the day before, and VOLCOM crew. (Yasuto Yoshino & Asahi, Ruiki Masuda, Kuya Kubota, YONE FILM), Yusuke Toyoma, Daisuke Watanabe, Maiko Matsumoto, TENJIN BANKED digger team and others gathered, even though it was a weekday.Classes are divided into professional, junior, amateur, master, grand master, silver, and skier, and in the professional class, the total number of participants x 100 yen will be the winning prize.
Fresh bank course with a feeling of LIVE
I will also enter this tournament and head to the actual course.The slopes in the early morning were icy burns due to the fine weather from the day before.When you get on the new lift and reach the course, you will find a compact and slightly tight course with a total of around 10 banks.When you suddenly pass through the woods from the start, a line setting that runs through in front of the audience with brand tents and MC booths installed from the middle.In other words, it is a LIVE-like course where the audience can see the runners.This creates a sense of unity with the audience gathering at the venue, which is truly new.In the morning inspection, the speed is too high and it is difficult to control, so it seems that the key is how to control the speed. As with TENJIN BANKED SLALOM, participants will complete the course by inspection until the qualifying starts. It firmly inherited the concept of "banked slalom made by everyone".
By noon, the snow will loosen and the speed will be easier to control, so you will gradually feel the comfort of the course.As for my result, I entered the master class and was ashamed to lose the qualifying.However, since I could see the qualifying and finals and the slides of the participants up close, it was fun to watch the game, but it was also a good learning for the rider's line. It was such an interesting tournament that one day passed by in a blink of an eye.
Local locals, ski resort staff, slope regulars, riders, shops, kids, manufacturers, and various participants gathered at this tournament, and it was exciting across generations and levels.
It seems that we are aiming to hold it the day after TENJIN BANKED next year, so how about everyone's banked ladder !?
