[Rider Topics] The KIZAMU team led by Kenji Fujimoto is finally starting! A new snowboarding circle started by carvers

Q1: Head's carving crew "KIZAMU Team" has started up in Hiroshima. First of all, please tell us the concept of their activities. Fujimoto:Carving is characterized by drawing lines on the snow surface using edges, and the sense of speed and dynamic movement is fun. Even beginners can experience a unique sense of exhilaration with a little practice, so I want more people to know about the fun of carving and to tell them, "It's easy!" At the same time, one of our concepts is to expand the circle of friends who enjoy snowboarding!
Q2: What kind of activities does the KIZAMU team plan to do? Fujimoto:We are thinking of holding a similar event on a regular basis, following the example of the "Come Ride With Us" event held every year by HEAD Snowboards, where we invite people to "ski with professional riders!" We hope that by skiing with lots of people and having people try out the gear we use on the spot, people will be able to experience the joy of snowboarding even more! Q3: Please tell us about the composition of your team. Fujimoto:The group is made up of trustworthy members, with me at the center. Kyohei Dogan Instagram Ryu Ota Instagram Tetsuhiro Kawano Instagram Q4: Why did you get into carving? 藤 本: I've experienced many styles, such as half-pipes and jumps, and I've had many opportunities to give lessons in those styles, but one day, a customer said to me, "Carving is so cool! Can you do that, Kenji?" So I showed him how to carve, and before I knew it, I was hooked.
Hall wish: Meeting Kenji was the beginning of my carving. When we first met, neither of us were carving, but one day Kenji got into carving and taught me how fun and exciting it is. I'm really grateful! Daejeon: I switched from skiing to snowboarding when I entered high school. At that time, I saw people on social media and at ski resorts doing sharp carving and fell in love with how cool carving was. When I graduated from high school and was 19 years old, I asked Kenji for lessons, and from there my relationship with him deepened. I still receive surf skating lessons from him to this day, and he has been helping me out ever since.
Kawano: It was when I had just started snowboarding and couldn't even turn. After the test, I saw the staff carving down the slope in a line and I still remember thinking, "How cool!" At that time, I didn't even know the word "carving," but a few years later, I met Kenji and learned the fun of carving, and I became more and more addicted. Q5: What is the appeal of carving? 藤 本:The best thing about carving is how good it feels! The sensation of cutting through the snow is one of the most exhilarating things you can experience on a snowboard. Hall wish:The appeal of carving is all about the fun and excitement it brings. The feeling when the speed, the changes, the gravity, and all the other feelings come together is so amazing that you can't help but scream, "It's so fun!"
Daejeon:The wide range of fun is what makes it so appealing: sharp carving on steep slopes and relaxed cruising on gentle slopes. Especially in Hiroshima, the snow gets wet and heavy in the spring, but the thick and long HEAD skis are perfect for skiing.POWERHOUSE LYTThe best thing about riding this is that you can enjoy it stably without any drag even in such conditions! Kawano:For me, the appeal of carving is that it makes you feel one with the snow. The feeling of being covered in snow every time you make a Bitter Line is irresistible! For someone like me who loves snow, carving is the best technique that allows me to get closer to the snow.
Q4: Please tell us your currently confirmed activity schedule! Fujimoto: December 12st: "Come ride with us at Osorakan Snow Park" January 21th: "Come ride with us at Osamu Ski Resort" March 1st: "Come ride with us at Osorakan Snow Park" These are the currently scheduled dates, but if there are people who want to ski together individually we are always accepting reservations. Q5: Can people who have never carved before participate? What are the conditions for participation? Fujimoto:Of course! First-time snowboarders are also welcome! Q6: Where can I apply and find more details? 藤 本 : KIZAMU Official InstagramOr you can send a DM to each of the four members' Instagram accounts. We don't take reservations in advance, so just come on the day!
Finally, please say a few words to everyone who is interested in reading this interview!
