At Hoshino Resorts Nekoma Mountain in Fukushima, Tohoku, the snow depth at the summit reached 2024cm as of April 4, 15, creating conditions that make it hard to believe it's spring. What's more, this snowfall in mid-April is the highest it's been in the past five years!
In spring, Nekoma offers comfortable cruising on granular snow that won't hurt even if you fall. We'll be open until May 5th, the last day of Golden Week, so you can enjoy snowboarding season until the very end!

Approximately 4cm of new snow fell between April 15th and 16th, and currently (April 25th) 4 runs are open for skiing. This is a rare opportunity to enjoy fresh snow even in spring. Banked slaloms, moguls, and snow park items are available only during this time of year, making it a great time to hone your skills and have fun. The resort is open early in the morning, with lifts operating from 17:10am on weekends and holidays and from 5:55am on weekdays, making it possible to enjoy exhilarating riding on the firm runs first thing in the morning.

If you have a valid one-day lift ticket, you can rent a snowboard set (board + boots) and clothing for free! This is also recommended for those who usually ski but want to try snowboarding this spring. It's a chance to make your snowboarding debut. [Cherry Blossom Viewing x Snowboarding] A luxurious experience where you can enjoy snow and cherry blossoms together!
The cherry blossoms around Nekoma are in full bloom from late April. Enjoying cherry blossom viewing after skiing is a fun experience that can only be had at this time of year!
🌸Sakura Pass (about 20 minutes by car)
The spectacular sight of about 3,000 Ooyamazakura cherry trees in bloom is well worth seeing, with their distinctive deep pink flowers.

🌸 Kannonji River (about 40 minutes by car)
A row of Yoshino cherry trees stretches for about 1km. The Cherry Blossom Festival will be held from April 4th to 18th, and there will also be night illuminations and food stalls!
