Possibility of a new movie project

F: What kind of project is THE UNINVITED in the first place?
T: I've only heard it quickly, and since it was an exchange in English, I'll explain it as far as I understand.First of all, Jess is particular about women. It seems that women were treated as an obstacle everywhere they went, whether it was a tournament or shooting. Now that Jess has won numerous awards and released signature boards, he said he took quite a few chances to become one of the top riders. And even though there are still good girls in the world, it seems that he wanted to manage a situation that could not be taken up at all.So, although it's still buried, he said he started up to discover attractive riders and send them to the world.I think this is something that Jess can do because he is in his current position. Some riders in this project are breastfeeding their children on the street, while others, like Estonia, don't have much of an image of snowboarding.Anyway, he wants to pick up a rider who is cool and keeps pursuing his snowboard.

F: Have you heard why you named it UNINVITED?
T: In the sense that it's like a rider who isn't invited to a tournament or filming, or someone who isn't invited, I think it means, "Look at the slip, regardless of gender, age, or appearance."

F: I resonated with that feeling and decided to participate.
T: That's right. Also, it was great that I was told that I could shoot freely.Instead of going abroad and acting with Jess and others, I want you to leave a video in the environment of Japan that I'm used to and send it.Sometimes it was easy to do ... I thought that what I had done was appreciated.I was also fascinated by the fact that Japanese images flow around the world.

F: Have you been on good terms with Jess for a long time?
T: A few years ago (Nagano) I had a photo shoot with Hakuba, and I met him for the first time there. At that time, I remember trying to shoot with a glaring feeling that I wanted to leave something better than Jess. After that, I didn't keep in touch frequently, but I feel like I got in touch before coming to Japan last season. However, I think there was something in common with the story when shooting Hakuba in the old days, or the wavelength.Jess is the same age as me, and the shooting style is even more similar. How to make the site and how to use the time from the check to the actual production are surprisingly the same. When it comes to shooting, isn't that person's pace?I myself haven't shot with a girl rider so much, but it may have been the first time I've met so much with the same sex.You were able to shoot without any stress.Jess said he felt the same way.

F: What kind of shooting did you do with Jess last season?
T: I was injured in my knee, so I told him in advance that "the street is impossible".Then Jess was injured in the same way, and I couldn't do it unless it was powder (laughs). So, it feels like I went to a good place in the powder and had a session.

F: By the way, is shooting going well this season?
T: So far ... (bitter smile). However, other riders are shooting hard, so I think it will definitely be a dangerous work.

F: What will happen to UNIVITED in the future?
T: I think the main story will be announced when this season is over.It is undecided what kind of format it will be.Actually, I was planning to finish the release already, but it seems that the shooting period was changed to 2 years because most of the main riders were injured. However, I think that the next work will throw something into the Japanese girls scene in the future.

The world changes depending on you

F: What do you want to express in the future?
T: Recently, there are many people who divide the categories such as street and backcountry ...I think there are many people who are biased and who don't like eating. It may be a characteristic of Japanese people, but the backcountry is divided into those who draw lines while playing, those who make kickers in the back mountains and jump, and those who slide in the big mountains. For example, Xavier (De La Rue) and Nicolas (Müller) are completely different (laughs). But that's just pursuing what he's addicted to, so from my point of view, I think it's okay to be free. Why do you divide the slip categories? It's all snowboarding.I want to do anything.I think the streets, backcountry, pipes and parks are all snowboarding. At the beginning, I could only see the streets, but when I started shooting in the backcountry, the world expanded at once. It's interesting to try anything, and that kind of stance should definitely improve your skills.I have tried to do anything, even if I am not good at it.I think there are new discoveries there.I don't do it because I can't do it, but I do it because I can't do it.I want to go to the line, go to the big mountains, and go to Alaska.I want to jump and do the streets. After experiencing everything, I think it's okay to concentrate if there is something like "I'm this", but I think it's a little different to decide "I'm this" without doing everything.Besides, if you do the same thing all the time, you'll get stuck and you can go to new places, so it's fun ...So, rather than wanting people who watched my video to have a longing for me, I want them to be more interested in "Is it possible for me to do it? It looks interesting, so I'd like to try it for a while." ..I want you to take this as a step to get out into the wider world. Also, I hope that the number of Japanese girl riders who think that the world of video is cool will increase.Looking at my footage, I hope the next generation of girls who will support the scene will burn even more. There are dreams in this world as well. It's good to concentrate on the competition like the Olympics, but I want many people to know that there is a world of images like this.It would be great if you could convey the value and fun of snowboarding, which is not a score.
